Begin Your Journey to Happiness

I used to be pretty hard on myself, like, if I didn’t like a haircut I did on someone, I would think about it a lot and second-guess myself. But after therapy and a lot of work, I know how to dust myself off a lot faster, and those things don’t knock me down as much as they used to.

Meet Jaymee

My goal is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental environment that is inclusive and culturally competent. I am dedicated to building a therapeutic relationship and will utilize a warm, direct , and non-judgemental approach to assist you in making connections within yourself.  I also believe that while the healing journey can be a lot of work, it is meant to be fun too.  I like to use humor to help ease some of the struggles associated with healing.  Plus, let's face it those of us that have been through a lot are really funny.  I utilize approaches and modalities related to addiction, trauma, EMDR and mindfulness-based practices. Mindfulness and radical self-acceptance are central in my own life and my work.

Practice Areas

I utilize approaches and modalities related to addiction, trauma, EMDR and mindfulness-based practices.

01

Individual Therapy

I am proud to provide individual mental health therapy services to adults and adolescents.  Individual therapy sessions last for 50-60 minutes and are typically offered on a weekly or bi-monthly schedule.

02

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.

03

Trauma

Trauma can instill fear and cause you to avoid people, places, or things that remind you of the traumatic experience, which can make it difficult for you to function.  I've worked with those who have experienced childhood trauma, intergenerational trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and addiction.

04

Dissociation

Dissociation is a break in how your mind handles information. You may feel disconnected from your thoughts, feelings, memories, and surroundings. It can affect your sense of identity and your perception of time.

05

Substance Abuse

Sex, drugs, and rock & roll.  It's all fun until it's not.  Maybe you're looking to put a substance down or just want to explore your options? Maybe you want your long-term recovery factored into your therapeutic goals?  I've been there so let's talk about it.

06

psychosis

Sometimes we experience disruptions to our thoughts and perceptions in a way that makes it difficult to recognize what is real and what isn’t.  I will work with you to help you manage your symptoms so you can feel safe and stay out of hospitals.

Statement of Inclusivity

I am committed to creating and maintaining an atmosphere of openness, trust, and safety where all attitudes, beliefs, values, and behaviors can be freely explored and discussed. My commitment to cultural humility seeks to ensure that the dignity, worth and value of all individuals are affirmed in my life, work and community. My services are available to every person regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, class, ability status, natal sex, military status, spiritual practice, marital status, age, sexual orientation or citizenship status.
